Consultancy projects

The STC-Group provides consultancy services to public and private clients regarding the financial, economic and organisational aspects of shipping, port management, transport and logistics in the transport chain. A selection of the products and services includes:

Several consultancy project have been executed in the past.

International Consultancy projects:

  • Master Plan and Feasibility Study for Inland Waterway Transport for Serbia (November 2003- June 2005)
  • Colombo port efficiency and expansion project, Sri Lanka (June 2003- March 2005)
  • The strengthening of the institutional and management structure of Turkish State Railways’(TCDD) Izmir Port (2003)
  • Economic analysis of and strategy development for packing and sequencing port operations and cargo handling concession in the South African ports sector (December 2002 – July 2003)
  • Eritrean Ports Rehabilitation Project, Port of Massawa (May 2002-June 2004)
  • EU-India Maritime Transport Project - India (October 2000-October 2003)

Durres Port Project has a human resource development part included. Familiarisation and training visits to the Netherlands, purchasing of equipment and training maritime wide in the port of Durres are initially carried out during a  period of 23 months.and extended for 2 years.

Galati Shipbuilding Training

Shipbuilding in Romania. A Dutch Maritime Knowledge Center should be raised in Galatz with extreme focus on shipbuilding. Included is a training session in Rotterdam.

2 weeks training program in Chennai for managers of Chennai Port Trust on modern HRD / HRM practices

Delivery of Simulator Systems, inclusive management and operation training to the Inland Waterway School 2,  Ho Chi Minh City,

For the Inland Waterway School 2 a major set of simulators will be supplied to enhance the existing training capacity of the school. An Inland Waterway Simulator with two ship bridges will be supplied. These bridges will include visualisation of the environment by projection of computer generated images of a very high quality.

Scope of Services: Supply of an Inland Waterway Ship simulator, two bridges including visuals, Supply of a Cargo Handling simulator, Supply of an Engine Room Simulator, Supply of a GMDSS simulator, Instructor training and maintenance training, Assistance in curriculum development and implementation, Management training and management assistance, Train the Trainer
